
Mission & Vision
The Midshipmen Fleet is an integral part in the Academy's adherence to Health and Safety. Being future officers in the Merchant Marine fleet, Midshipmen start their training in the Academy in the mitigation and elimination of workplace hazards, As such the Midshipmen Fleet Health and Safety Committee (MFHSC) is organized.
he MFHSC is composed of Midshipmen who represent the different Companies and Class. Together, they are committed to improving health and safety conditions in the workplace, accommodation areas, and in planning and execution of extracurricular activities. Committees identify potential health and safety problems and bring them to the Academy Safety and Security Officer to be addressed at the soonest.
Every concern brought to the attention of a committee member in writing shall be reported at a committee meeting and recorded in the minutes. Every concern that is raised and resolved shall be recorded in the minutes. The minutes shall also report every agenda item that was not resolved in the course of the meeting. The Secretary shall make arrangements for the taking, typing and distribution of minutes and the maintenance of records. Correct minutes shall be approved and signed by the 2 Chairman, and shall be forwarded to committee members and Academy Safety and Security Officer following the meeting. The 2 Chairman of the MHSC shall ensure that approved minutes are posted on the dormitory bulletin boards for viewing by all Midshipmen. Minutes will also be made available on the Safety and Security Office.

It is necessary in our institution to create a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff to study, work, and learn effectively.
